Most Common Garden Weeds

The most common garden weeds are generally those that cause problems with gardeners and the gardener themselves. They tend to be very tough and have very strong roots and tend to be quite difficult to get rid of once established. Dandelion is one of these weeds that can be very difficult to get rid of and is a great example. Dandelions can often be a real nightmare for any garden gardener.

Dandelions look pretty good as young and while they can be quite tasty when young, they can actually stifle the growth of your plants and compete with other nutrients with the plants. These pesky weeds can spread very quickly and actually take up an entire garden within a month. The problem with dandelion, however, is that you really need to kill them off before they spread. The good thing about dandelion is that it doesn't take very much time to kill off these weedlings and to keep them from spreading. You can easily get rid of dandelions by using a high-pressure washer, but if you are going to use one, make sure you use the lowest setting available because it can do more damage than good.

Another one of the most Common weeds is the lawn. Lawn mower blades, whether gas or electric, can take a lot of punishment when they are cutting grass and can quickly destroy a plant's roots. Lawns are usually very hardy and so can take quite a bit of punishment without taking a huge hit to its productivity. However, mowers are not as forgiving as many other gardeners make them out to be. If you want to keep your lawn and garden healthy then you are going to have to cut them back regularly. Some lawns will grow back more quickly than others. If you want your lawn to be larger than it is now then you are going to have to cut them back more often and make sure you mow at the same time every week.

Another one of the most common garden weeds is the weedling. Seedlings are very easy to kill but there are a few things you can try to help them along the way. One of the easiest ways is to use weed killer. This will kill off the roots of the weedling and kill off the plant. However, you are going to want to make sure you only use this method of weed control for only small areas of the garden. The weedkiller is best used on the largest areas. As for the smallest areas, you are still going to want to use a weedkiller.

Another of the most common garden weeds is the common garden weed, the crabgrass, which is a weed that is native to South America. In order to get rid of this weed, you will need to pull it out by the roots and put it in the trash. This weed is a big pain and needs to be killed from the roots. You should also get rid of any stems that have formed around the base of your plants to prevent new plants from growing back. It is best to leave them where they are as long as possible until the crabgrass has died. To remove the leaves and stems, you will want to use a garden fork to scrape them off.

A third of all gardeners have trouble getting rid of these three common garden weeds. However, if you keep these tips in mind, you will find that getting rid of these garden weeds is easier than you may think.
